Georgetown Riding Academy was founded in 2018 by owner and lifelong equestrian Kristin Goforth in Georgetown, Kentucky. Driven by her passion for horses and a love for teaching, Kristin dedicated five incredible years to building a close-knit community of riders and students. Under her guidance, GRA became a place where riders of all ages could learn and grow, not just in their riding skills, but also in their connection with horses.

 

In 2024, Kristin made the heartfelt decision to relocate Georgetown Riding Academy to her home state of Tennessee. With deep roots in Chattanooga, she is excited to bring the same high-quality instruction and welcoming atmosphere to the Cleveland, TN area. Her mission remains the same: to create a fun, supportive environment where students can develop confidence, horsemanship, and a lifelong appreciation for horses.

Kristin’s teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and fostering a strong bond between rider and horse. Whether you're new to riding or have years of experience, Georgetown Riding Academy is dedicated to helping each student achieve their goals and enjoy their time in the saddle.
